How does the order lifecycle work?

Each order moves through a full lifecycle — placed, confirmed, preparing, ready, out for delivery, delivered, completed — with payment status, taxes, fees, discounts, and per-item customizations tracked throughout. Every transition is stamped on the order timeline, which is exactly what powers the customer’s live tracking.

Pickup, delivery, and on-demand "come to me" fulfilment for products, plus instant or scheduled appointments for services. Merchants can assign workers, dispatch typed tasks (delivery, appointment, prep), and track them to completion from the field.

A merchant creates a provider record, sets its category, location, business hours, and offering type, and moves through a verification lifecycle toward active status, with platform-administrator review. Once verified, the merchant can build a catalog and start selling.

It is Kadaikodi’s signature differentiator: verified merchants can publish a growth-financing opportunity — with a funding target, minimum investment, expected returns, lock-in period, risk level, and terms — and backers can browse and invest. It lets small merchants raise capital transparently, tied to real performance.

Every merchant, offering, order, worker, and review belongs to a workspace, so collaboration, permissions, multi-tenancy, and audit are built in from day one. Identity and authorization are inherited from the Burdenoff platform — Kadaikodi does not reinvent auth.

Can one person be a customer, a merchant, and an investor?

Yes. One identity can hold many roles, but every action is scoped by role, every field is protected by RBAC, and every change is attributable. Identity flexes across roles without losing control.

Kadaikodi runs on the Burdenoff platform with centrally enforced role-based access control, audited actions, multi-tenant isolation, and secrets held in a managed per-environment secrets vault. Which third parties process data?
