Home Service Pro Payout and Holdback Ledger

Each independent pro's week as a statement of jobs, commission, tips, materials, adjustments and holds, approved before it is paid.

These images are illustrations of the concept, not screenshots of the actual product.

Overview

Home services marketplaces often pay independent cleaners, pest technicians, repairers and moving crews, and a pro's week is more than job price less commission. Tips arrive after the job, approved materials need a receipt, a re-clean done by someone else changes who earned what, and a job under an open complaint should wait until the case closes. This concept shows a weekly payout run building on the payouts and settlement envisioned for Kadaikodi, where each pro is set up as their own merchant and their statement is built from their completed orders.

The desktop illustration places Pro Payouts for one sample week of jobs under Financial in Kadaikodi's Platform Admin, marked as a draft not yet approved, with an Approve payout run button. Tiles report pros in the run, total job value, the amount held for open cases and exceptions to review. The Statements table gives each pro and service line their jobs, job value, commission, tips, materials, adjustments, amount held and payout. In every sample row the payout equals job value less commission, plus tips and materials, less adjustments and holds. A moving crew's row is highlighted, and a Line detail panel explains its hold: the local-move order is held until its damage claim closes, the same case the complaint desk shows.

An Exceptions panel lists what the finance lead should clear before approving: a re-clean paid twice, a hold older than fourteen days, a missing bait receipt and tips received after the cut-off on two jobs. The phone illustration shows the pro's side once the run is approved, in the Earnings tab of the Kadaikodi worker app they use for tasks: the week's payout with its payment date and an Approved badge, a How it adds up breakdown of jobs, commission, tips and a deduction for a re-clean done by another pro, three of the week's jobs, a year-to-date total and a link for questions. Its sample figures mirror a cleaning pro's row in the run.

Because Kadaikodi holds the orders, every line is designed to trace back to one. In the design, commission follows the rate the marketplace sets for each pro, approved materials such as pest bait or an appliance part carry their receipt, and year-end totals per pro stay with the ledger for the finance lead and their tax adviser. A footer notes that closed-job figures are sent to BigConsole via FluidGrids, reflecting the intent that a FluidGrids workflow carries them into BigConsole for reporting. The ledger is designed for marketplace finance leads, and the statement for the pros themselves.

What this concept shows

  • Pros in the run, job value, held for open cases and exceptions tiles
  • Statements table with jobs, job value, commission, tips, materials, adjustments, held and payout for each pro
  • Draft status with an Approve payout run action
  • Exceptions for a re-clean paid twice, an aged hold, a missing receipt and late tips
  • Line detail explaining a hold that lasts until a damage claim closes
  • Pro statement in the worker app with a How it adds up breakdown and an Approved badge
  • The week's jobs by day and a year-to-date earnings total for the pro
  • Footer note on closed-job figures sent to BigConsole via FluidGrids

How it works

  1. Completed orders for the week are designed to build each pro's statement line by line.
  2. Holds placed from the complaint desk are designed to appear against jobs with an open case.
  3. The finance lead opens Pro Payouts under Financial and reviews the totals and each statement.
  4. Work through the exceptions, opening a line's detail to see why it is held or adjusted.
  5. Approve the payout run.
  6. Each pro sees the approved statement, how it adds up and the week's jobs in the Earnings tab of the worker app.
  7. Closed-job figures are designed to pass through FluidGrids to BigConsole.

Who it's for

  • Marketplace finance leads
  • Payout and settlement operations teams
  • Independent cleaners, technicians and moving crews
  • Home services marketplace operators

Weekly Payout Run With Statements and Exceptions

A draft payout run with each pro's statement, holds for open cases and exceptions to clear before approval.

This illustration shows Pro Payouts for one sample week of jobs in Kadaikodi's Platform Admin, inside a desktop browser window, with Financial active in the sidebar. A draft, not yet approved badge sits beside an Approve payout run button. Tiles report pros in this run, total job value, the amount held for open cases and four exceptions to review. The Statements table lists five sample pros across moving, cleaning, pest control and appliance repair, with jobs, job value, commission, tips, materials, adjustments, held and payout, and each row's payout adds up from its columns. The moving crew's row is highlighted with a hold. An Exceptions panel flags a re-clean paid twice, a hold older than fourteen days, a missing bait receipt and tips after the cut-off on two jobs. A Line detail panel says the crew's local-move order is held until its damage claim closes, and a footer notes closed-job figures sent to BigConsole via FluidGrids.

A Pro's Approved Weekly Statement

The pro's own statement: approved payout, how it adds up, the week's jobs and year-to-date earnings.

This illustration shows the worker app on a phone, with Earnings active in a bottom bar beside Tasks, Schedule and Profile, and a green Clocked In status beside the greeting. This week's payout gives the week of jobs, a Friday payment date and an Approved badge above the payout total. How it adds up lists seven jobs and their value, commission at fifteen percent, tips and a deduction for a re-clean done by another pro, with its order and case numbers, and the lines add up to the payout. A Jobs card lists three of the week's jobs by day, client and type of clean, each with its price. A Year to date card shows the total earned so far, and a link at the foot invites a question about this payout.
