Order History, Favorites and Reorder

Past orders and saved carts sit one tap away from a repeat purchase, with rating close at hand.

These images are illustrations of the concept, not screenshots of the actual product.

Overview

Much of neighborhood commerce is repeat business: the same morning tiffin, the weekly grocery run, the snack stall on the way home. This concept explores how the Kadaikodi customer app could turn that habit into a short path. Instead of searching for a cart again and rebuilding a basket item by item, customers return to two screens, My Orders and Your Favorites, that are organized around the places they already trust.

My Orders is split into Active and Past tabs. In the Past view, each order is a card with the merchant's name, the date and time, a status badge such as Delivered or Cancelled, a one-line summary of what was ordered and the total. Two actions sit under every card: a filled Reorder button and an outlined Rate button. The design treats reordering and rating as the two natural next steps once an order is finished, so neither requires opening a detail page.

Your Favorites is reached from the app's bottom navigation, alongside Home, Discover, Orders and Cart. A count next to the heading shows how many carts are saved. Each saved cart appears with a photo, a category chip such as Food or Retail, its star rating, an Open now indicator and its own Reorder button, while a filled heart in the corner shows that it is saved and offers a way to remove it.

Together the two screens close the loop that starts with discovery and checkout: a customer finds a cart, orders, rates the experience and then comes back with a single tap. For merchants, the same loop is designed to feed the repeat-customer figures in their analytics and the reviews that shape their reputation across the marketplace.

What this concept shows

  • Active and Past tabs that separate orders in progress from finished ones
  • Order cards showing merchant, date and time, item summary, total and a status badge
  • Distinct Delivered and Cancelled badges on past orders
  • One-tap Reorder and Rate actions on every past order
  • A Favorites list with a running count of saved carts
  • Saved-cart cards with photo, category chip, star rating and an Open now indicator
  • A heart toggle for saving or removing a favorite, plus a Reorder button on each card
  • Bottom navigation linking Home, Discover, Orders, Favorites and Cart

How it works

  1. Open My Orders and switch to the Past tab to see finished orders.
  2. Scan each card for the merchant, date, items, total and whether the order was delivered or cancelled.
  3. Tap Rate on a past order to leave a star rating and review for that cart.
  4. Tap Reorder to start a new order from the same items instead of rebuilding the basket.
  5. Switch to Favorites in the bottom navigation to see saved carts with their ratings and open status.
  6. Tap Reorder on a favorite that is open now, or tap the heart to remove it from the list.

Who it's for

  • Regular customers of neighborhood food, grocery and retail carts
  • Busy households placing routine orders
  • Cart owners who depend on repeat customers
  • Marketplace operators tracking customer retention

My Orders: Past Orders With Reorder and Rate

Past orders show merchant, time, items, total and status, each with Reorder and Rate actions.

This illustration shows the My Orders screen of the customer app on a phone. Two tabs, Active and Past, run under the heading, and the Past tab is selected with an underline. Below, three order cards are stacked. Each card carries a cart icon, the merchant name, the order date and time, and a status badge: two sample orders are marked Delivered in green and one is marked Cancelled in gray. A line of text summarizes the items, with sample entries such as a dosa and filter coffee from a tiffin cart or vegetables, milk and bread from a grocery, next to the order total in rupees. Every card ends with a solid Reorder button and an outlined Rate button side by side, showing that the design puts repeat ordering and feedback directly on the history list rather than behind a detail view.

Your Favorites: Saved Carts With Quick Reorder

Saved carts show category, rating and open status, with a Reorder button and heart toggle on each.

This illustration shows the Your Favorites screen, with a small count beside the heading indicating four saved carts. Each favorite is a card with a food or produce photo on the left, the cart name, a gray category chip such as Food or Retail, a star rating, and a green Open now pill that tells the customer the cart can take an order right away. A filled heart in the top corner of each card marks it as saved, and an outlined Reorder button sits at the lower right. The sample carts span a tiffin stall, a fresh grocery, a street-snack stall and a sweets shop. A bottom navigation bar with Home, Discover, Orders, Favorites and Cart shows Favorites as the active tab, keeping saved carts one tap away from anywhere in the app.
