Overview

Local merchants do not only sell things. Many offer services, such as home cleaning, repairs, grooming or tutoring, that need a time and a place rather than a delivery basket. This Kadaikodi concept shows how a bookable service could live in the same customer app as products, sharing the same catalog, pricing and order flow, but with a booking screen shaped around time.

The illustrated screen opens with the service name, its price, a duration chip and the provider's name with its star rating, so the customer sees what they are committing to before choosing anything. A segmented control then offers two modes: Come now, for an on-demand visit, and Schedule, for a planned appointment. With Schedule selected, a row of day chips (Today, Tomorrow and the next weekend days) and a row of time-slot chips appear, and the chosen day and slot are highlighted.

Below the slot picker, an address card shows where the professional should go, with a Change link for picking a different location, and an open text box invites notes for the professional: access instructions, rooms to focus on, or anything else they should know before arriving. A full-width button pinned to the bottom of the screen repeats the price in its label, so confirming the booking and seeing the amount happen in the same place.

Because Kadaikodi treats products and services as one offering model, a booking like this is designed to flow into the same order lifecycle a merchant manages in the console and the same task dispatch a worker sees on their phone, and to end in the same ratings and reviews as any other order.

How it works

Open a service from a merchant's listing to see its price, duration and provider rating.
Choose Come now for an immediate visit, or Schedule to plan one.
When scheduling, pick a day and then an available time slot.
Check the service address and tap Change if the visit should happen elsewhere.
Add any notes the professional should read before arriving.
Tap Confirm Booking, which shows the total, to place the appointment.
