Small Business Sales Daybook
Everything sold today, from the web store, the counter, chat orders and repair bookings, with what is still unpaid.

Overview
For a small, owner-run business, a day's sales rarely come through one door. An order might arrive through the web store, be rung up at the counter, be built in a chat, or start as a repair booking. Each leaves its record somewhere different, so at closing the owner pieces together what was sold, what was paid and what is still owed. This concept shows a Daybook in the Kadaikodi merchant console that keeps the whole day in one list and ends with a single Close the day step. The sample shop sells and repairs bicycles, but the design suits any small shop or young business mixing counter, online and service sales.
The illustration shows the Daybook for a sample Saturday under Orders, with a date picker and a Close the day button. Four tiles report the amount sold today and its change from yesterday, the number of orders, the unpaid amount across three orders, and the repairs booked for Monday. The Today's orders list filters to All, Web store, Counter, Chat or Repairs, and each row gives the time, order number, channel, customer, items, payment status and where the order stands, such as ready for pickup, completed or in the workshop. A chat order is highlighted as awaiting payment, with a payment link sent, and a counter sale with a declined card carries a Retry action.
Beside the list, Stock to watch shows two parts with the number left, one with its reorder level, and a refurbished road bike marked sold with its listing closed. The bike's order row carries a matching last-unit tag, reflecting the design intent that a one-off item sold on one channel closes everywhere, building on the cross-channel inventory sync envisioned for Kadaikodi's catalog. The Close the day panel takes the cash the owner counts, shows a card sales figure to check and notes that three unpaid orders carry over to Monday. In the sample, counted cash, card sales and the unpaid amount add up to the day's sales.
In the design, Kadaikodi holds the order record for every channel. The chat order is labeled as coming via Botlit: a Botlit agent is designed to build the order in conversation and send the customer a payment link, after which Kadaikodi tracks it like any other order. A note in the Close the day panel records that the day's totals were sent to BigConsole via FluidGrids, reflecting the intent that a FluidGrids workflow carries each closed day into BigConsole for the owner's cash view. The Daybook is designed for owners and the small team running the counter and workshop.

How it works
- Open Orders to see the Daybook for today, or choose another day from the date picker.
- Check the sold, orders, unpaid and repairs-booked tiles for the state of the day.
- Filter Today's orders by channel and follow up anything unpaid, such as a chat order awaiting payment or a declined card to retry.
- Keep an eye on Stock to watch for items running low and one-off items that have sold.
- At closing, use Close the day to enter the cash counted and review the card sales figure to check.
- Unpaid orders are carried forward, here to Monday, and a FluidGrids workflow is designed to send the day's totals to BigConsole.
